Removed Spendide W/D. What to do with the space?

Hi - On our 2003 Journey we had an issue with the Splendide W/D unit and decided not to replace it. I was just wondering what other folks who chucked their Splendides did with the space or if anyone had any good "helpful" :-) suggestions.

we opted to not install the twin units in the first place and instead installed shelving for extra closet space.

Miriam has probably already solved that question by now. I know my wife would have that filled already!

Yes I can see more tubs of clothes and shoes going in there. That’s ok we lost 195lbs so a few more shoes won’t hurt. Now if she starts collecting rocks like Lucy in “The Long Long Trailer” we’ll have a problem

Our MH had 3 large drawers I removed where we put our Splendide. Call up the floorplan for your MH model from the Winnebago files, or just run a search, they will show what was there.

We bought our MH off the lot but did not want the washer/dryer. The dealer agreed to remove them and put in the cabinets that would have been there isthe w/d option had not been selected. Upper cabinet is maye 8-10" deep, lower is maybe 2' deep. If you want I can take picture and try to post it.

Sue46 - I would be very interested in seeing the pics! I also thought it might be a good place for a litter box IF we ever got another cat.

We had the dealer pull ours out and install three large drawers. The lighting in the photo isn’t great. They matched the cabinets perfectly.
