We have the theater combo recliners in our 2008 Vectra -- anyone remove this combo unit and how difficult a job is it? I'm hoping it breaks down into individual sections to facilitate removing from the MH?

John, I have a client here that has those. We will be removing those so I can install wood on the slide. I'll post on the procedure.

Thanks Ernie -- thought for awhile that I must have posted in an unknown language! IMO, the worst piece of RV furniture that we have owned!

chiefjohn,
is your combo recliner the same as a sofa bed?

No, we also have the electric sofa bed. The combo recliner is theater type seating with a console between the two attached recliners.

We had to dissasemble the theater seating to get it out the door. Pretty easy to do with basic hand tools. It came apart in several pieces. We replaced it with a couple of recliners from a home furniture outlet in Michigan.

The theater seating looks like it should be comfortable but was not. You can still use the seat belts to strap down the new chairs while traveling if you choose to.

Jim

Thanks Jim -- you have your seating exactly as we are planning ours!

We took out the Rest Easy Sofa in our Vectra 40FD this year and put in two Lazy Boys rocker recliners. Very easy and much more comfortable.
