I apologize if this is covered elsewhere. I did a quick search and found some similar info on replacing TV in another model Winnebago/Itasca, but did not specifically address my question.

As mentioned I have Sightseer/Sunova 35J motorhome. I am sure the installation is similar in other models with the front overhead TV. I want to remove the CRT set and replace with LED set.

I loosened the bolts clamping the bar down on the TV. It did not yield much movement, nor could I, even with bolts very loose, move the bar off the top of the TV. Is this bar taped/glued to set? Are there other screws I need to find.

Similarly the DVD player seems to be epoxyed in the cabinet. Any suggestions on how to remove this item.

Floated the idea of getting new motorhome with all this taken care of. Idea sank and really do like current motorhome.

Appreciate any help or insight offered.

I can't speak for the TV install in your coach, but the DVD player probably has HEAVY duty velcro-like stuff holding it down.

The "stuff" they put under the bar is the stickiest stuff I've ever seen. I used a putty knife and hammer to separate it on my coach. Even then, it will restick before you can get the clamp loose.

Too bad they didn't use the same stuff to attach some of the body panels to their metal frames.
