Removing Home Theater System

I am trying to replace the Home Theater System in my Sightseer/Sunova 35J. Actually just the main unit, speakers are fine, unless new ones fit easily.

My question: How is the main (DVD Player) unit attached to the floor of the cabinet? I have not been able to remove it from the floor and don't want to cause any damage. So if anyone know, I'd appreciate the info. If it is velcro's, I want more of the stuff for other projects.

Ours is attached with heavy duty Velcro. We had to lift the front (in a few inches) of it slowly and could hear the Velcro gradually release. That heavy duty stuff can be pretty strong. Hope this helps, Joe

Yes I would agree it is attached with strips of Velcro tape. Lift off with a long flat screw driver. This Velcro tape is EXTREMELY strong. I found out the hard way when I added a new Blue Ray DVD player. I had to move the Standard DVD/Home entertainment center over to make room. During my work I lifted the finish/vernier right off the cabinet. Luckily I was able to "save" most of the vernier and re-glue it back on without to much of a "ouch" look.
