Hi.
We're adding a DVD/VCR to our camper the original VCR died last summer. I'd like to remove the TV inverter as we never use it as well as the black metal stand for the VCR. Has anyone taken the inverter out? Are there any things I should be aware of before getting too deep into the job?
As to the metal shelf, I think I've removed all the screws but still it will not budge, it seems to be spot welded to the frame for the TV. Am I missing a screw or two?
Thanks for your help.

I R&R'd my inverter a few years ago (it failed). As I recall (?), it was held in place by Velcro. It was easy to replace; just mark the wires. Like you, I seldom use it.

Dunno about the VCR metal shelf---never could figure out how to remove it. If you find out, pls post here.

Look at the bottom. Could be some "Industrial Strength" Velcro stuck on the unit. If so be very careful at prying this up...after all these years it could also take up the cabinet finish with it if you pry with vigor. I know this from experience. Oops.
