Ok my DW has this notion (perhaps she is right) that we should replace our bed in the back ('99 chieftain- no slide out) with a sleep sofa. I would be willing to relocate the f53 heating that is under the bed.

but my Billion dollar questions is....Drum roll please
HAS ANYONE SEEN A SLEEP SOFAS AS COMFORTABLE AS A BED ? My wife is a skinny minnie and Im about 250lbs.

we have 3 big dogs and just trying to make more room. Right now we have a 4" top foam mattress insert and love it!

BTW I plan on posting pictures soon of the remodel we did..Came out ok...Allure floors.

Depends on how many nights you have to sleep on it . Fulltime=doubtful, parttime=possibly, occasionally=doable. Our sofabed is definitely not comfortable for sleeping, even for weekends. I tried it, just to see. I bought a 1.5" foam topper & a featherbed matress pad I keep in the closet for putting on it for guests. It's actually quite comfortable now.

Also, since you'd be folding it up for more room during the day, do you think you'll like deploying & making it up each night? Something to consider.

Thanks Lori..
Perhaps a futon then with a pad on top ?
Making the bed is not something I would enjoy every night.
Frequency could be up to 2 weeks..

Unfortunately not our Flexsteel sleeper sofa. The mattress is innerspring, but the covering/padding around it is very thin & I swear I can feel each & every spring in it. I'm used to a S&F deluxe pillowtop at home so anything less is uncomfortable for me. I even put a 3" foam topper (Sam's Club) & Magic Loft mattress pad (JcP) on the coach bedroom mattress so I can get a good night's sleep.

I would not even consider it. I have NEVER seen anything with hinges or that folds in any way that sleps as good a real bed.
