I need to replace the heater blower motor on 1982 Winnegago Brave
I believe the blower is under the dash on the passenger side.
Any ideas how to remove the dash or how to get at the blower motor.
When on heat or AC the motor will start screaming from time to time as if it needs lubrcation

Hi Peter,
Consider asking the moderators to move this to the Winnebago Owners forum. You may stand a better chance of getting good responses there.

We had an '87 Winnebago Chieftan that had heater blower problems. To remove the blower I had to first remove the radio speaker above the heater. Reaching down to the blower motor I felt around and found the mounting screws for the blower and removed them. The blower can then be worked out from under the dash. The dash didn't come off easy so this was the easiest way to get to the blower. Your arm and hand will look like you have been in a cat fight when you are done but that was the easiest way to do the job. You might need a magnet with a long handle to retrieve dropped tools and parts, I sure did. Good luck with the removal.

Believe it or not the path to the motor can be different based upon your VIN which to say there is no requirement for the dash to be teh same on 2 units of the same make and model.. ON my Workhorse based Damon Intruder,, All I need to do is crawl under with the proper screwdriver.

Now the point of this post:

I can't tell you the cost of a new blower motor for my rig from Workhorse.. So I pulled the motor, tossed it on the shotgun seat on my car and drove to the local used-auto-parts store.. He looked at it, went over and pulled a box for a Chevy Pick up and............

It fit 20 bucks
