I had the Magnadyne m9999 radio bench tested and it is no longer working .I want to replace it with another radio perhaps a Magnadyne m1cd and am looking for the dealer with lowest price I can find . The m1-cd will fit exactly in the sleeve that is in the motor home now, a 2005 winnebago adventure 35A. I found a m9900 magnadyne remanufactured for sale at the Deep discount outlet on line for only $59.99 and am leaning towards that because of the price . Looked into the Jensenmcd10g but no longer available. Any info would be apprecired. Thanks Henry D

Your timing could not be better as I was going to post an update on my situation tonight but since you asked I have some insight that could be a help to you. I have the Magnadyne M9900CDS and had a problem with it like most on here. Do a search and you will find several threads on this radio. After looking for a replacement I phoned Magnadyne to see if they would fix mine. I am happy to report they did fix it and it has never worked better. They charged me &65.00 including shipping. They were very nice on the phone and did a fairly quick turnaround. I am mentioning this because if I elected to go for a replacment, it would have involved splicing wiring, using a filler piece and some minor alterations.
I know Magnadyne also offers refurbished units for a fair price. Their phone number is 310-884-7784. It is your choice as to which way to go. I am very happy I stayed with the original although time will tell I guess.

Make sure you compare the features if you go with the m9900. I believe you give up the aux input that you have on the m9999. That means you cannot plug in Ipods/MP3 players etc. I also use the aux input for my XM radio tuner.

Does the m1-cd work with the steering wheel remote from the m9999?

I believe that the Magnadynes all use the Ford mounting box and clips so you should be able to plug in any Ford radio that has the same clips and the same plug end off the back.

I've got the same radio - one day it stopped working and the fix was not obvious. I got a similar radio (without as many features) from eBay and installed that. I then took our original radio, spoke with Magnadyne about it, ended up shipping it back to them, they repaired and sent it back to me. All at no cost. I've swapped it back into service and have the eBay radio sitting in the barn. All in all, I was delighted with Magnadyne service. Also, their radio works very nicely in our RV and has just the featureset that I want.

I agree, I had the m9900 and when it went bad (cd player) I replaced it with the m9999. I like that it has the aux input, plus it retains the cd and cassette players. I use the weather button all the time when we see dark clouds up ahead, very convenient. I also got the extra remote for the back so there is the one on the steering wheel and one for the dinette area.

The cd player is starting to skip like my earlier Magnadyne, but I can't find a radio that has all the same features and 2 remotes.....

Gents,
Finding this thread was a stroke of luck. Our recently purchased Itasca Horizon has this same radio and, up to the last day on our first camping trip with it, it's been functioning just fine. On our way home from our camping trip, the screen just had two little vertical lines, that was it. I could not change anything on the radio with the exception of volume. Then, we found the "reset" button. Well, we pushed it, and the screen went blank and that was all she wrote!

I'm going out to re-attempt to provide CPR on the radio to see if it can be revived at home. If not, well, it might be time to make a phone call to Magnadyne. I hope I have as nice of service as you folks have. I surely don't mind paying for a repair, I'd like to keep that particular radio because of all it's features. Thanks for posting the phone number and all the info on the problems and the cures for the M9999 Magnadyne Radio.
Scott
