Replace Sofa

We have a 2002 Itasca Horizon. It has an electric fold out sofa which was original equipment. We would like to replace it with the same model but covered in leather to match our "Flexsteel Captains Chairs". Has anyone done this? Any other ideas?-Thanks

You asked for ideas so here is what we plan to do.

We just bought 28 yards of "Ultraleather Plus" and DW is going to re-cover the couch, dinette cushions and the two captain's chairs. The Plus has the best wear rating.

The stuff is expensive. We paid $68 per yard. We saw it as high as $85 to $90 per yard.

There are some cheaper knock-offs out there, so you have be sure you are getting the real stuff. There can be a big difference in the ability to pass the same wear tests that Ultra-leather does.

Note that the real Ultraleather is spelled as one word while the knock offs seem to be two words like "Ultra Leather".

Although FlexSteel makes some leather captain's chairs, most are Ultraleather so if you do re-cover the couch, Ultraleather may be the thing to use to get a match.

Not to get off the subject entirely but I wonder if anyone has tried a custom fit slip cover on the rest easy sofa instead of completely recovering it?

I have never replaced the sofa . I am thinking all a person would have to do is unbolt it from the floor & unplug the wires. I would trade my ultra leather sofa for a cloth covered one. One without an arm rest in the center.
