Hi,

I have an 04 Adventurer.
I am in the process of replacing the front TV with a new LCD which should give a much better picture.

However I can't get the wood frame that is around the TV to come off.
I have removed all the screws I can find and the frame moves freely up and down about 3-4 inches. I just can't get it to come all the way off.
I don't want to use excessive force pulling it down.

How is the frame attached after the screws are removed?
Any tips on removing the TV when I get that far?

Thanks,

Steve

Howdy Steve,
Nick Russell just had his redone and a lot of the work is on his blog GYPSY JOURNAL BLOG.. You can ask his wife(Miss Terry) how they did it, she's the mechanic, Nick just HAPPENS... His cabinetry was remodeled also and really looks great.. I think his is a 2004 Ultimate Adventurer.. Tell him butterbean sent you..

Smooth roads, clear skies & balmy breezes!!!!!!!!!

calsteve,

I removed our front TV years ago and the frame did fit snugly after the screws were removed. I radiused mine on the bottom so it went back in easier. I later changed out the TV to a 32" flat screen that fits out in front of the old wood trim. I opened up the inside of the wood trim to allow th new TV to fit back in as far as possible. The two side cabinet foors now just clear the TV. Bigger is always better....

Good luck,
Dave

Welcome to IRV2.com. You will find a wealth of information on this site.

Do a SEARCH for TV removal or new HD TV Install on this site. Many, many pictures and treads on how to do it.

Look for two black screws at the very top on each side of the wood frame from the side. Also make sure you drop the bottom white plastic piece first. Pop out the screw covers and unscrew all the screws.

Think about how you want to mount the new HD TV and what mount to use. Again look around here first.

On second or third page down, is a TV install tread.

Regards Jim P.
