In our Horizon we have a undercounter sink which is now cracked as a bottle fell out of the cabinet above.

I believe it is installed with a silicone sealer and clamps as well. I went to Lowes and got a new Kohler sink which will fit nicely in place of the original one.

My problem is I cannot break the sealant between the sink and the corian countertop. Has anyone done this and can help me out. I'm concerned I will damage the countertop getting the sink off.

Just in case anyone is interested, I found that using a good putty knife and a hammer was the best solution. Tried the stanley knife with no success.

We now have a new Kohler sink and plan on putting retainers in the cupboard to stop things falling out again. I have till the end of November to get that done. Just changed the oil in the transmission to Transynd so we are getting organised slowly.

For the record when I checked in the parts manual the sink is only listed WITH the corian counter top as one piece which I imagine would make it rather expensive. The Kohler sink and sealant from Lowes was $86 and a couple of hours work. Fits just like the original except better quality I think.
