Have a 2002 Journey DL with carpet. would like to replace with laminate. Do not quite understand how to work laminate under the slide out and if the rollers will scratch the laminate. Anyone with any experience, I would appreciate any tips and help you can give.
thanks

We have an 04 Journey and in the spring plan to have the carpet removed and vinyl tile installed. The slides must be dropped in order for new flooring to be installed otherwise when the slides come in they will bring the flooring with it.

Rocky Mountain RV here in Albuquerque has installed tile on three MHs that I've seen and the finished product looks and wears great.

The estimate we have is $3000 and a week and a half work time. Well worth it not to have to look or clean that miserable carpet anymore

Omurray,
We had s similar issue just a few day ago. If you query "Searay" you will see all the input I received. We have decided to just replace the carpet in the front area where the slide does not overlap. That is where all the wear and tear occurs as we come in and out the door. On a Journey, you have a different issue since your door is at the front. Good Luck.
By the way, we are not too far away, we are based in Lexington, SC.
We are fulltimers and are, at present, in Flagstaff, Az., headecd back to SC to spend Christmas with our kids and grandkids.
Good Luck,
SeaRay
