Replacing Slide-out awnings

Anyone doing this or anticipating the procedure should read Clay L's instructions dated 9-10-06 on this forum. I haven't had to yet but can foresee this coming soon.

Read his instructions and my wife and I did ours. All 4 slides only took 3 hours, very easy to do yourself.

Karl-

Did you have someone make the awnings for you or did you order an exact replacement from the manufacturer? Sounds like the exact replacements may cost a little more but should be easier to install. I only have two awnings and since all my jobs seem to take twice as long as they should maybe I can do both in 3 hours, hopefully.
