The sofa in my 99 Suncruiser - other than being upholstered in the ugliest fabric in the history of mankind - is also the most uncomfortable thing in the world. The dog doesn't even want to sleep on it. I want to have it replaced, but I'm one of these people that hates to buy anything new. Everything depreciates except food. I used to be able to say that about houses, but that's no longer true! So I try to buy used. Any resources for buying used or wholesale RV furniture? I checked on having it repadded and reupholstered. That would cost more than a new sofa. I'm thinking about just getting a regular sofa from a furniture store - but I'm having trouble finding one narrow enough to fit on the slide. And I do like that storage underneath.

We just replaced our barrel chair with a LazyBoy. The back on it popped right off and was easy to get in. I was eying a love seat that they make that I THINK, has the same easy back removal. Maybe check with your local LazyBoy dealer? Hooah...Steve

GraciesMom:

We are also looking for a replacement for our 'Rest Easy' sofa, primarily to upgrade and get something less ugly. We've investigated everything from Flexsteel (and others) RV sofa bed to more residential stuff from furniture stores. We've decided we don't really need a sofa bed and are leaning toward a reclining small sofa/love seat. Berkline makes a wall-a-way reclining sofa that will fit in the space.

If you want a nice studio size sofa, J.C. Penny online has a nice 72" wide sofa and they will send you fabric swatches.

There's a nice 75" rest easy lounger in light beige Ultra-leather at the Winnebago factory outlet store - at least there was a few hours ago.

For other options, try an RV salvage yard. There's a really nice one in Carthage, MO - just off I-44. I'm sure there are more.
