I need to replace the drivers. Has anyone
done the remove and replace, and can
recommend where I may be able to acquire
a new replacement?
I have checked several forums and googled
the same. Found Atwood win. reg. part no.

be appreciated .......coopcolt

What is wrong with your window regulator? Sometimes it's the motor that goes bad. If it is a GM window motor, they are pretty common motors used in most cars, almost any junk yard has them, just drill out 3 rivets and remount the motor with bolts. Also use white Lithium grease on any regulator arm pivots and slides including door lock while you have the door panel removed.

I am thinking it has just aged out.
If that makes any sense, it has always been slow,
then it was intermittent. Then it just stopped.
My first thought, bad ground. Gained access to
the motor and jumped a good ground, no effect.
Took the motor off and it works.
This is the kind of reg. that is worm gear driven,
thru a cable. Having trouble getting the motor
to mate back up. May try to remove the cable
and see it I can determine why it is locked up.
I have used dry lube on the channels for yrs.
knowing it was under heavy load.
I would like to just shotgun it, if obtainable.
Thanks, coopcolt

Classic case of motor going bad and getting weak, very common. Other problems are the cable breaks which is not your issue. It's rare that a cable pulley gets frozen, but you can check that also.

Thanks everyone for the help.
I have found the window regulator, I found
the regulator for less than 500.00.
The cheap one was 445.00 and 38.00 shipped.
I got a plan "B" working.......coopcolt

Got the window up and running. After some research
with Bosch motor in hand, I found the same motor is
used on 2001 Ford Explorer, right front. Part #83125.
RockAuto $43.00, I was looking for one not made in
china. But it seems to work and I sprayed with a dry
lube in the channels....We will see! coopcolt

Regarding remating the motor with the drive unit, I have the same problem - unable to put the drive shaft of the motor back into the drive/regulator. How did you do it? My motor runs with no load on it so I don't know that I need the whole unit?
Thanks for the info you supplied.

How did you get the motor remated with the regulator? Also did you find any binding in the drive cable? Are there stops for window full up and down?
Thanks,

Just got back state side, I dont remember having any
problems mating the Explorer motor(right hand side)
was it! Just a remove and replace, I am thinking the
motor is current governed, as there were no up/down
stops. I do have a down problem, as the motor seems
to over ride the worm gear in the down position.
As when it get a couple inches from what I remember
was the down position, the motor just wants to override
the worm with a bang bang noise. So I marked it with
a piece of tape about a inch. before the motor wants to
override the worm.....hope this makes sense, and helps!
