We always bring a few items into the lobby that we might want/need while the coach is with the techs (book to read, iPad, or laptop etc -- free wifi in the lobby, and there are multiple outlet at various table tops to charge what ever items you need, cell / cptr etc). There are several TVs with separate remotes. Vending machines for snack items / carbonated drinks, etc. We travel with a small pet. So, we also bring his travel crate, leash, water dish, treats...what ever you think your pet might need during the hours you will be waiting. (Each day, coach goes with tech early about 7 am, and will be returned to you each day about 3 pm.)
Bills Foods on Hwy 69 has a wonderful bakery! We were just in Forest City a few weeks ago, and bought their Banana Nut Bread. Wish we bought a couple and put in our freezer --- maybe the best we've ever tasted! Bills Foods also have a restaurant area where you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner (eat in or carry out).
If you've never toured the WBG factory, while your coach is being worked on, just go across the street from Svc Ctr and take the tour (2 x day I think). However, if you have pets with you, no pets are allowed on the tour. So, the first time we went to Forest City, we stayed an extra day so we could leave the pet in the coach while we toured the factory.
All the tech/svc/clerical staff at Forest City have always been so helpful, just good as gold! First day we were ever there, I forgot to bring our dog a water dish. Asked at the counter, and they had a pet dish we could borrow for the day. If you need anything, directions where to eat, local attractions, something like water filter correct size etc for your coach ... the gals at the desk in the service center are all just wonderful resources.
Others may have more tips, too. Know that Forest City will take good care of your coach and you while there.
Enjoy your summer and congrats on your QD
Safe travels to all.
