Remote has been acting up on our 2009 Vectra TD. May need new batteries, but my problem is I cannot locate the documentation on proper resetting of the codes. Any suggestions?

Locate the receiver and break the noted paper away to expose the reprogramming button.
Cycle the ignition key on then off. Press the yellow program button and hold for 4 seconds. When you release the button the receiver will start clicking. While it's clicking press ONLY the main door lock button, release, then press again. Repeat tis on each fob. When all the fobs are programmed then press the yellow button once and release. Your fobs should now be programmed for the main door and basement doors.

If you don't hear the clicking as described above then the receiver is defective. All the above is per the instructions for programming my keyless system which was manufactured by SCS-Frigette (now out of business).

Just bought a second fob for a spare. The instructions shown above are correct IF you know where the receiver is; mine is under the dash which required removal of the dash cover. Mine is located on the left side. 2005 Itasca Meridian.

I replaced the battery in my spare remote and it worked with out programming. As you see I have a 05 Journey.
I did have to program a remote on a 03 Horizon without changing the batteries and the receiver was under the dash. Try replacing the battery only and you might not have to reprogram...Good Luck

This earlier thread contains info on re-programming: How to reprogram my Keyless Entry (assuming its still the same SCS system used on the 2005 Vectras).

Send a message via Yahoo to JayLodge
The documented instructions worked on my TOUR this past summer (had just purchased it over winter. Pretty much what KIX outlined in his message. I did have to get new batteries for my fobs.
