In line with commander 11's question - We now have a Suzuki Vitara toad and only have the rear mud flaps to protect it (there doesn't seem to be any damage to the toad)
We're thinking of getting a Honda CRV toad and wonder if we should do more to protect it and what suggestion other members have. This is our first post also and we do enjoy the variety of information you folks discuss on this forum

When you tow in the rain it doesn't matter what protection you have, you still get a dirty toad. I think we need more protection for my motor home windshield than the toad. Every time out another rock or something decides to hit the glass.

I have been towing a 04 CR-V for 2 1/2 years behind a 03 Horizon with no dings. The rear wheels have mud flaps and I have the standard coach-wide Itasca rock guard. The car has cladding on the lower part of the front end which I believe is an advantage since and rocks and such willjust bounce off. I also added transparent headlight covers from Weather Tech. As an aside the 06 CR-V is the only Honda towable 4 down and I would expect that the 07 is not since it has been completely redesigned.
