Roll up screen in entry/screen door

Our coach has a screen door with a roll up screen. Today, when trying to roll it up it refused to go. Does anyone out there know 1) how to get it off the door and 2) how to repair it? Thanks!!!

I have never had mine off, but I lost one screw and I have not replaced it yet. It appears there are four recessed screws that need to come out to get it off.

Have you called Winnebago?

I happened to mine and I called 3T RV Welcome to 3Ts RV who I think sells most of them. They know of the problem and have a process for repairing it yourself. I think if you search the forum you'll find it here somewhere too.

Good luck...

I was going to call Winnebago this afternoon, but got sidetracked. So I will tomorrow and if they can't help I will then call 3Ts RV. I see four screws at the top, but when I take them out the cover/unit doesn't come down. I wonder if it has sticky tape behind it?? Thanks for the helpful ideas!

I would be surprised if this was factory installed, but let us know what they say.

I just checked and the door is not listed as an option on my build sheet, but it was definately on the coach when it was delivered to me.

On mine all it takes is to remove the 4 screws (2 at each end) that hold it to the door. I know because I installed it myself, but perhaps yours is installed with some adhesive as well.

As it happens mine stuck in the down position yesterday, so I took it off and was going to open it up to try to figure out the problem. However, after manipulating it a while it decided to start working again, so I re-installed it.

Winnebago suggested I drive it to a dealer and have them look at it! I am 120 miles from the closest dealer. When it cools off a bit today we will try to take it off. I did contact Atwood and they no longer manufacture it. However, they gave me a link to a company in Canada and they don't manufacture it anymore either! Hmm....
