I have just been contacted by our Insurance Co in regard to wether our Itasco 97 Suncruiser has a rubber roof - I have read some of the messages left on the main forum in regard to repairs of same but noone explains just what that is - can anyone help and tell me if our MH has such an animal and just what "it" is

By the way enjoy this site very much as a newbie to MH travelling it is such a comfort to know that there is help when we need it

trnmnt fishing, you can tell in one of two ways. You can climb up on the roof and check it out. It will look like a piece of giant rubber sheeting (it is actually called TPO I believe) and feel like a sheet of giant rubber sheet. Or you could call Winnebago and just ask them. I would try the later first since it should be a definitive answer but that being said you should get up on the roof (I do monthly) and inspect all of the sealants to make sure they are still water tight.

As far as I understand Winnebago does not do rubber roofs. Page 14 of your brochure shows the details which you can see at the link listed below:

trnmnt fishing,

As stated by a previous poster, it looks and feels like a big rubber sheet.

You really need to get up there once in a while and check the caulking around all the things mounted on or going thru the roof. Also the edge seams. Water leaks can do a lot of damage in a very short time.
