Running AC in Warm Areas

We are looking at the Sightseer/Sunova model 33C (Ford V-10) and wondering how the coach cools when traveling in warm areas, e.g. desert southwest in summer.
I would expect the two roof A/Cs to be adequate when parked but not certain when driving.
Any feedback is much appreciated.

Run the generator and one or both roof air conditioners if needed. You may find that if you are heading into the sun you may want or need to run the dash air as well to handle the heat load coming through the windshield.

We have a 35-J and have never had problems. We don't usually have to run both the roof tops, just dash a/c and the living room a/c. Enjoy the trip!

We have used both roof airs while traveling in 100 degree plus temps. They kept the interior of our Sightseer 35N cool.

You'll be just fine. The Ford dash air on my '99 Chieftain worked like a champ. Since it was usually just me & the wife, the dash air is all we usually needed. If we had guests with us and temps over 90, we 'd run the two roof air units too.

But I would leave early in the morning to avoid driving west or south in the afternoon. Even with all the cool air, the radiant heat coming thru the glass can cook you pretty good. Driving in the summer desert at the crack of dawn is always a joy with the scenic beauty abound. If it's the middle of summer, it's best to have your rig parked next to a big shade tree by noon. Not driving in the massive heat saves a lot of wear & tear on the tires and drive train too.

We had a 06 Sunova 34A & now a 33C. We always crack a rear roof vent just a little which helps draw the air out. We usually just run the dash air but in very hot conditions we run the gen and roof air if needed when mom is traveling with us.
