There are many GPS devices on the market but this is the only one I found that can be tailored with the height, length, and weight of an RV. Part of the this GPS's programming includes the clearance height of every overpass in the country including primary, secondary, and tertiary roads as well as Interstates. When a destination is input into this GPS, it uses the vehicle information you supplied to direct a route that you can navigate without risk of striking an overpass or possibly not being able to make a turn. Ocassionally we enjoy routes that are off the beaten path and this eems to be ideal to keep us "dimensionally" out of harms way. Any thoughts?

I use the Cobra Pro 7700; same features. I enjoy the comfort of knowing the height of my motorhome is considered when travelling off freeways.

HI,

I have a Garmin Nuvi 750 which does a great job at navigating, however I should update the maps. For Height restrictions I use the truckers atlas which tells me which routes the trucks use.
Your GPS' sound great but for that price they should make coffee and just about drive the RV.

Enjoy!

I use the Garmin 456T for almost two years now. It works pretty good. Just put it in truck mode. I did change the picture of a truck to an RV.

It gives you warnings of sharp turns, narrow roads, and height restrictions. Plus it will take you on routes that are more big rig friendly. With a 2008 Tour I want big rig friendly roads. Very helpful in getting around the hills near Branson, Mo last year. I don't know if I would call them roads.
