RVComfort.zc thermostat "00" error

I have been dealing with my thermostat going to "00" and then back to the room temp. Sometimes zone selection or temp setting would not work. I called Winnebago and they had me call RVP products support. The tech told me that, in most cases, this thermostat behavior is caused by a 12V source. That is, some 12V component is interfering with the function of the thermostat. It could be a 12V phone charger, TV, light controller, etc. His instructions were to shut off all the 12V lights and appliances, unplug 12V devices and then pull the fuse under the cover of the thermostat. But, to do this you must set the thermostat to off, remove the cover, pop the fuse out. Then you wait 5 minutes, put the fuse back in without touching any of the controls, wait another 5 minutes and start turning things back on, one at a time, watching for the "00" code to return. The item that causes the code is the villein.

I installed LED lighting under the patio awning a few months ago. It has a IR remote control. Thinking back, the problem started around that time. When I did as the tech instructed the LED's caused the problem when on ! I sometimes forget to shut them off in the morning and, of course, I become more aware of the problem during the time we are up. LED's off. No problem. LED's on. Houston, we have a problem.

Now we all know what to do. I have read several posts where the thermostat was replaced. Now knowing it is not the fault of the thermostat many $ can be saved by those who want to fallow what I have posted. For the "doubting Thomas's"? Please tell us your fix.
