Wow- seems pretty high to me. I paid about $400 at the factory in Atlanta and they are more pricey than dealers-- I juts wanted it factory installed and its close to me. I'm running an F53 26000 lb rig. Might want to shop around a bit??? All that said it saved our tails one time when we were run off the road- ----making it the best investment I ever made.

I would look at other installation offers. We paid ~$400 also and had to take it back once to get it adjusted to steer straight. But they do help once they are correct!

Step away from the Camping World. They are trying to surgically remove a couple hundreds dollars from your wallet.

We bought the Roadmaster version of this for ~$400 and had it installed for $150 on our Class A.

Friends don’t let friends use Camping World’s Service dept.

Waste of money

I put a Safe-T-Steer on my Ford F53 chassis RV, and thought it was a complete waste of money... No improvement in steering. A friend has a 2007 Journey DP and added the Safe-T-Steer. He also thought it was a waste of money. No improvement in steering.

Four years ago we bought a 2006 Sunova 29R that had a Safe-steer unit already installed. We've since put 40,000 miles on the rig and since I never drove it without the safe-steer I can't really compare with vs. without it. However, on our last trip, we hit a piece of steel while going 60 mph on I-10 in Florida and even with an instant blowout the rig handled absolutely fine and didn't pull to this side at all. Based on this I'm glad we have it.
