Hi All:

On my 04 Itasca the Sanyo compact disc auto changer 10 just died? I checked the plug and am getting power coming out.

Since this is operated from the dash of my coach, from the MODE button on my radio, should I try and get it fixed? Or should I buy a new unit, can I ? This was a stock item that came with the Meridan in 04.

It was in the upper left hand cabinet to the left of the TV. It won't even open up, and my ten CD's are still stuck inside.

Any and all advice appreciated. It really wasn't my weekend. My MCD's blind had to be taken down and taken apart. Then I sprung a leak in my main slide, couch got wet from rain overnight.

Just one of those trips.

Regards... Jim P.

pameridan,
Look for a very small hole in the acess door or port to the CD cache in your auto changer.

If you find it, use a straightened out paper clip to push gently into the hole, while gently encouraging it to open up with your fingernails.

You have one of these on your laptop CD/DVD port... FYI.
Good Luck,
Jim

Mine was bad when I purchased my Meridian in May and LazyDays installed a new one, but I don't know what the cost was. They replaced it as part of the sales.

They must have a supply of them or know where to get them. A web search does not bring them up for sale.

I looked for a manual of the EAX-510 but never found anything except the installation manual.

Here is a site with several other makes for sale if you can't fix it or find a new one. Car 10 disc cd changers Car CD Changers at bizrate - Price Comparison and Consumer Reviews

My new player got into a loading loop the other week without any disks in the cartrage with everything turned off and the radio switch in the chassie power position. I won't leave it in again without a full set of CD's in it. Now when I store the coach (I'm a newbie) I put the radio switch to the house position and turn the house battery to off!

Hi guys:

I have the manual, it says, no power check blown fuse. Is the fuse inside the CD Changer unit itself, or in the dash of the coach.?

Well I took apart the changer, no fuse in that box. I still can't get my !@#$%^&*()_+ cd's out! There is no little hole to put a paper clip in.

I am going to check under the hood for fuse box, if that is where it's at? In my manual it says there are two ACC fuses (1) & (2)..??

I called my RV shop and asked him to check on a new unit from Winnie. I don't think Sanyo makes them anymore. I just want to make sure this sucker is DEAD before I spring for a new one.

Reagards... Jim P.

First: What and WHERE is the 8 pin plug from the Sanyo 10 disk changer plugged in to?

I called my RV dealer, Winnie has these Sanyo CD Changers in stock. Are you ready for this $489.00 + shipping. New Sony's go for about $150.00 bucks, what a RIP OFF by my stealership and Winnie.

I am still NOT SURE if the changer is bad, or what ever it hooks in to may be the problem. Once I order from the dealer, there is no return.

My CD's are still STUCK inside. I went to two repair shops recomended my Sanyo, they will not work on it, and they were over 50 miles away. I will NEVER buy another Sanyo product again as long as I live. They are useless on their support and website. I left emails, never even returned. It took me over an hour to get them on phone, gave me useless repair centers to call on.

This SUCKS...
