My new 04 Ultimate Freedom has a Winegard RoadTrip SDI dome installed.
I purchased a Dish VIP211k receiver and am now in the process of wiring.
There is a panel on the wall of my cabinet titled "To Satellite Receiver", and below this label are two coax connections. One is named "Dish Input" and the other "Output".
Which one of these connections is hooked up to the receiver?
I assume the other one is hooked to the on/off switch for the antenna? Is this correct?
Any advice will be most welcome.

Unless you have a completely different system than I'm used to in my present and former coaches, the satellite dish operates independent from the receiver. The dish (antenna) should have it's own power switch.

The two cables you mention should be attached to the back of the receiver. "To Satellite Receiver" goes to the "Dish Input" . "Output" goes to the television connection. Clear as mud?

Which of these wires is hooked to the sat receiver... Both of course

INPUT goes to the LNB and OUTPUT the TV out more than likely.

That said.. You could verify.

Select SAT on your box of many buttons Turn on the TV and tune to analog chan 2 or 3.

Touch the "OUTPUT" center wire.. You should see an effect on the screen

(NOTE: No guarantee here but it usually works that way)

There is no shock hazard

The INPUT wire may go to a SAT IN connector down below but more likely goes to a wire buried in the roof if you do not, already, have a sat dome or rooftop dish installed. If that is the case you may need to run a new RG-6 cable down to the basement or some other lower area for ground mount hookup.

EVEN IF YOU HAVE A DOME or ROOF TOP DISH

IF you do have a dome or roof top dish.. Then put a low cost A/B switch in the LNB line, A is the wire you have there now to the roof up A-bove
B is the new line I spoke of to the basement or a ground block or bulkhead (Through wall) connector down B-elow.

When parked under the evil signal eating tree.. Hook up tripod mounted dish, slide switch to "B" reset a DirecTV receiver then aim, or aim and check switch on a DISH, and you are good to enjoy. When you disconnect slide the switch first.. Then pull into the clear and reset/check switch as you did when you switched to tripod.

This is a drawing I made of the stock Winnebago wiring. They don't change much from model to model and since you said you have the wall plate with two coax connections I suspect this is the way yours is wired. You have a dome instead of a dish but that shouldn't be a factor.
