Scratching my head !!
I own a 1999 Winnebago Adventurer 34V diesel pusher. I did not use it for almost a year, due to illness, and when I started feeling better I found that the generator would not start. I traced that issue to a poor ground at the generator and repaired it. Then it would start, from outside, inside(in 2 places) , life is good! I went out the other day and generator would not crank, so I cleaned battery cables on house and engine batteries, and still nothing! I have never had to use the auxiliary start on dash, but just happened to try it, and generator started! So I figure there is a bad connection somewhere, so I trace wires from house battery to battery disconnect solenoid, all appears well, but no apparent problem. Just about ready to give up and take it to local rv shop, when I happened to turn on ignition switch, and try generator, and it starts! But, I am thinking it's still not right, as I am sure it used to start without key on, and also by not having to use auxiliary start switch as well. Anyone run into this before ??? Thanks in advance !! Old Seabee
