Screen Door Shade

Is there a way to adjust the tension on those things? Mine is to the point where it will only retract about half way

If you're talking about the retractable after market screens on the entry door which slide up to reveal just the window, I think the answer is yes. I had to call Three T's RV Parts where I bought mine and they explained that I just had to remove the unit from the door... remove the end caps... and then I think it was just a matter of taking out a small locking pin and adding a couple of turns to add tension to the spring before reinstalling the pin.

Good luck.

As I recall they act just like good ol' roller shades in the house (if they still exist.)

Easiest way to tighten them is to raise them up as far as the tension takes them, then remove them, roll them up manually the rest of the way, reinstall. Repeat if needed.

One end is a round rod, the other is a retangular bar which locks into place.

Yes they work just like the one in a house. Remove it from the window and take a pair of plyers on the flat side and turn it a few turns make sure it holds before you remove the plyers from it though. You can kinda feel that its holding..... It usually only take one or two turns to get enough tension on it > dont go crazy with it or it will take off like a dog after a car on you.

That's what I thought. I remember adjusting the springs on blinds in the house. Just wanted to make sure.
Thanks Folks
