We're trying to correct all the nagging stuff which went wrong with our 2005 38G Adventurer during our extended summer trip. Our current focus is the blackout roller shade on the screen door. It won't roll back up consistently. We tried to see how to remove it from the casing, but can't figure out how. We've tried lubricating as I remember that some window shades are fixed after lubing. No luck.

Anybody worked on this shade and if so, how did you get it off the door, what was the fix, and if all else failed, did you order a new shade, and from whom?

Someday, I will be an expert on something and can answer posts, not just ask questions.

On my Vectra it's just like an old-fashioned roll-up window shade in the house. One of the two mounting brackets should have a slot in to capture the flat shaft. If you don't have room to lift it out of the brackets you may need to unscrew the screws holding one of the end mounting brackets in place.

Janjanjan:

I would suspect our 2005 Suncruiser 35A has a similar shade arrangement. There are 4 small white buttons that cover the screw heads (easy to overlook.... been there, got the tee shirt). Once you pop the buttons out with a small blade knife, it's just like any old fashion window blind as cbeierl described. Good luck
