I noticed that Winnebago's specs for the 2006 Vectra lists a 'separate screen door w/rolldown screen'. I interpret that to mean that the screen can be rolled down when driving--thus giving a clear view through the entrance door window. Does anybody know if that is correct? If so, I wonder whether it would fit on a 2005?

Winnie has apparently made some door changes. They have an improved door 'keeper' that I'm interested in for retro fit. We will be headed to the factory in early March for some warranty work - I plan on seeing what can be upgraded at that time.

Haven't heard about the roll down screen. I have a side-view camera on order which is an option for 2006 which should greatly improve the visibility out the starboard side.

Chris: The 2005 Monaco Diplomat has that option, the top part of the screen door slides down to allow a clear view thru entry door. Good idea.

Yes this is a new option for the screen door. we heard about this last year. We have been talking about having a removable screen made for our present door. If you look very closely at the screen door, there is a groove just inside the actual screen material. We are planning to remove the screening and install a bulb seal where the screening was held in, have a frame made to fit inside the area with four twist latches that fit into the groove. When we are driving we will store the screen below or behind a chair, then install it when we arrive at our destination.

Cheers!

My wife was having difficulty seeing thru the screen so I tore out the existing one and had one made with a frame, olnly cost 21 dollars. I used Velcro just to size the screen so that it fits tight. We can remove it and store inside the coach will in transit.
