The flush lever on our Dometic SeaLand toilet is getting increasingly harder to operate. This lever pulls a cable that operates the toilet ball. Does something need to be lubed? Or is our handle going bad?

Here's a link to the Owner's Manuals for Sealand Toilets. Just download based on your model number.

Owners Manuals/Parts Lists

The info should be there.

I had already checked the manual and it didn't address the problem. I called Dometic SeaLand and they told me to spray Pledge spray wax on the toilet ball. I will try that and see what happens.

I cleaned the seal and used Pledge on the ball. It seems to be working.

I had to replace a seal on one of my toilets and one of the people I spoke with about the water not staying in the tank said to clean the seal and spray "PAM" on the ball as well as the valve flusher. He said occasionally the ball won't return to a complete seal (100% Closed) unless the valve etc is lubricated. I did everything he told me but the seal would not stop leaking. I called back and ordered 2 seals, figured the other toilet would probably leak sooner or later. He cut me a break on shipping, both for $5 but the seals were $29.95 each. The new seal is different from the original, it's made with the center hole slightly smaller and the support and the seal are thicker but still fit within the clamp. If the Pledge gives up try the PAM. Good luck, Charlie
