Sealants 2016 38Q- am I thinkin right?

I've got a project checking and applying sealants and need to do a head check here and am seeking advice.

I purchased several tubes of the sealants as identified on the sealant call out sheet for the 2016 38Q.

As this is a bit of an ongoing project, I have been visually inspecting closely all external seals and joints on the rig. I have found only 2 joints (rear cap, side roll over joint of roof to rear cap) each side. that were visually deteriorated. Old sealant has been removed and the "E" Type joint sealant recommended to those areas has been re- applied. I also cleaned, removed and applied new sealant to the the long joint above and between the compartments and side wall at floor level.

All the areas requiring Sealant "B" self leveling sealant, mostly on the roof, appear to be in excellent condition.

The rig is 2 years old. My thoughts are that I should not tamper with or remove existing sealant from joints that appear to be in good shape and do not manifest any leakage, cracking or looseness. I'm thinking I need to leave all those joints alone and monitor all joints and seals regularly until they manifest a sealant failure.

Does the theory "if it ain't broke don't fix it" or "leave well enough alone" apply to existing sealants? Clean it all off and reseal or leave it be if its in good shape?

Thoughts???????????
