I was cleaning out the black bag today and got rid of a lot of useless papers, brochures, etc. I did see a single sheet noting that if there was no outside vent for the Sharp convection/microwave, there was a charcoal filter on the back that should be replaced periodically. I have no exterior vent from the stove area...the heat from the microwave seems to exit from the top front.
There would be no way to replace any filter mounted on the top rear of the microwave without removing the unit from the wall.
Anyone ever heard of this on the Winne's with convection ovens?

Gary, On one of my units I beleive I removed the top trim and there was a filter in there. Also check underneath but that may be only the exhaust filter. Other than that CALL WINNIE!!! LOL,,,Be Safe.

According to the instruction sheet, the filter would be on the back at the top. I will check behind the front grill.
SkiGramp....yes, cleaned it out. I also have added stuff over the years but it is now a few pounds lighter.
