I have a plastic radiator surge tank that is leaking and have received a metal replacement tank. I understand from tech support at freightliner that the mounting brackets need to be reversed and the battery disconnect switch relocated. Has anyone out there done this and difficult is it?

Arv,
This advice may be a little late but have you tried to repair the plastic tank. There are a lot of plastic repair kits out there that are quite effective. Of course it all depends where on the tanks the leak is located, but since you already have a replacement what do you have to lose and it may be easier than doing all the modifications that would otherwise be necessary.
