Sightseer 33C

We just purchased a 2016 Sightseer 33C and are taking deliver this coming Saturday. Anyone know of any specifics we should be looking for and any problems with your 33C? Thanks in advance. Oh, we will be full timing coming October 16 when Jim retires. Woo Hoo!

Congratulations on the new 33C! I'm sure that you'll love it! There are some threads about turning the recliner sideways to get more space when the slides are closed and a thread about the new 6-speed transmission. Some are adding HD sway bars for handling and Safe-T-Plus for safety.

sightseer 33c

We have a 2014 sightseer 33c ... bought new just about 2 years ago. We love it. Have 9,000+ miles on her. Only had a few minor problems that CW was fast to take care of - until our last trip when the Schwintek Slide mechanism on driver side slide didn't close properly (3 corner of large slide closed / 1 sticking out about 1.5 inches). Been waiting for over 2 weeks for parts to come in for repairs. TG for extended warranty. (Check this forum for other problems people have with the Schwintek Slide).

Things to watch out for: don't extend the coach slide if the door is wide open. Don't retract the coach slide if the door is latched open .

Enjoy!

Congratulations on your new 33C. We picked ours up a few weeks ago. Our new coach is at the dealership so that they can fix some of the things that the Winnebago factory didn't get quite right. I would be happy to give you a list of problems but yours will be different than mine.

Do you know if you are getting a 2015 or a 2016 F-53 chassis? The 2016 33C is being built on both chassis. The difference is that the 2016 chassis has a six speed transmission that makes shifting a little smoother. There are other advantages to having a six speed transmission.

I plan on making a few modifications to our 33C. When the slides are closed the bathroom door hits the wood paneling on the refrigerator. On one of the links posted by Aauummm is a picture of a bathroom door stop. I plan on making a door stop for our coach.

We opted for the pantry instead of the washer and dryer. Winnebag's design is for pull out shelves on top and fixed shelves on bottom. We find that the design should be reversed. Accessing items that are stored in the back of the bottom shelf is difficult. It would be easier if the bottom shelf pulled out so the items on the shelf are in view without bending over. The pull out shelves should be on the bottom and the fixed shelves should be on the top. I will build shelves and add the pull out hardware to the bottom shelves so that all of the shelves will pull out for easy access.

Safe travels. JD
