SilverLeaf VMSpc in a 2003 UF

Found this thread, which is somewhat helpful.

I will be looking for the same thing (next week) in our 2003 UF. I want to get the VMSpc bundle, and some tire monitors. I looked the other night briefly, but didn't see it. Does the UF's dash hinge up, by chance? SilverLeaf told me they thought 2003 was right about the time Cummins switched from the 6-pin to the 9-pin plug, so I am definitely going to have to scope it out before buying.

By the way...SilverLeaf Electronics also sells Pressure Pro, which does not offer the capability to replace the batteries in the tire sensors themselves. But that system interfaces with the VMSpc, which would be quite valuable, near as I can tell.

Can anyone help with any additional information on these things? We bought the rig last Fall, just in time to put it up for the Winter. And we just got it out of storage last week--we're using it for the first time next week. Lots to read!

Thanks in advance!

TB

The dash does hinge up towards the windshield. But, on my coach, you don't need to raise the dash to find the OBD plug. On the left floor under the steer wheel is a carpeted foot rest for your left foot. Remove this foot rest and on the "firewall" you will see a black "box" with 3 switches on it for the ABS system. The OBD plug is attached to the driver's side of this box. Mine is a 9 pin plug.
Good luck

The Pressure Pro is pretty much the original for RV's, for a while Doran resold the PP units but not any longer.
I used to be a PP distributor, before they had the VMSpc interface. It's too bad PP hasn't come out with a owner replaceable battery setup!!
I should buy the interface but then my sensors probably need replacing by now and I also need the repeater for this rig. Almost too expensive now, but if they came out with owner replaceable batteries I'd reconsider.

The VMSpc system, with the software (which is free), harness & module, the Pressure Pro system with the repeater and 10 sensors (including 4 for the toad), is just about $1300. But that's $500 for the sensors, and $800 for all the other stuff. I am quite curious about how well the sensors hold up, and how long the batteries last.

The other thing I would be worried about is someone stealing the sensors. At $50 a pop, they are definitely NOT something I would leave on the vehicles when we weren't traveling. I think I would take them off as soon as I got to my destination...
