Our replaced bedroom slide out cover touches the top of the slide out on one side. Of course, any wind causes it to flap a bit and it makes noise inside. I am getting grief about it. Question: Would moving the 'T' shaped lever at one end reduce the tension on the cover? I think I could mount the bracket that holds the cover up a bit higher and that would cure the noise problem. Are those screws into the side of the wall, or do they screw into nuts of clips inside? Our is their so lubrication that would quiet things down?

Sound like with one side touching and one side not touching either the new fabric is longer on one side than the other, OR whoever reinstalled them did not get enough tension on the roller spring. In either case, I would first try increasing the tension. On my CarefreeColorado toppers with the slide partially open, that requires pinning the roller spring on the left end, then taking the end loose. You have to either turn the roller tighter by hand, or use the slide to do it for you. Beware the roller springs are strong and will hurt you if it gets away from you ...and if you use the power of the slide to increase the tension and you have taken up too much slack, the slide is powerful enough to tear something up. Unless you have worked with the topper rollers before, proceed with caution.

In the end, if the fabric truly is not square, there may no be much you can do other than roping it down or putting a small beach ball etc under it when the slide is out.
