I'm sure that this subject has been addressed on the forum many times and I should be doing a search to find previous suggestions, but I just want to give you guys a chance to write a new chapter in "MoHo's For Dummies" so I'll ask again!!
We don't travel in the summer, so our Horizon hasn't left the yard since May. We tinker with it-move it around, open windows, extend the slides, etc. Today was a nice clear day, so DW opened it up to air it out. This evening she called me over to see a slide seal hanging completely out about half the length of the LR slide left side.( nearest driver's seat) I can see that the same thing is going to happen on the rear side of the DR slide as it is bulging out near the top.
I have three questions : 1) How to reinstall them? It looks like I need to remove a black metal(?)"keeper" strip that is installed with phillips head screws. Then what am I going to find?
2.) We don't have much level ground here at the lake where we live, so the MoHo is not perfectly level on the jacks. Is that the cause of the seal failure?
3.) I've noticed since we bought the Horizon in the spring that the seals do not lay flat against the extended slides as they should. Is this a matter of needed lubrication? If so, what is the correct product?
Thanks to all who can help.Dennis T.

Dennis:
I am sure you will get other responses to your questions. I've not had problems with my slide seals so can't help with how to reinstall them.
I can say that deploying the slide without the coach being level might contribute to problems with the seals. I have extended my small bedroom (wardrobe) slide without being perfectly level but never the large LR slide. It is just too big and heavy, IMO, to run in and out without a level rig. Is there a way to put some blocks under your jacks to get the rig more level when you want to use the slides?
I understand Winnebago may not recommend using any slide lubes but I stubbornly spray mine with silicone periodically and have had no problems with a 5 yr old rig.

Hi Dennis - welcome to the forum!
1) Let your dealer fix your seals, or call Winnebago for advice
2) I can't imagine unlevel terrain causing a seal failure (I assume you have the slides in while parked?)
3) Yeah - sometimes with our slides extended the seals don't lie aligned to the slide. The important issue is if you have leaks - we never had any caused by the seal flipping
