We have a Winnebago 2004 Horizon with three slides. There are two hoses in the basement on the passenger side toward the rear of the slide which are leaking. There is a blister on one and the blister on the other has already burst and is leaking oil. It looks to be a 1/4" braided reinforces line with a smooth outer cover. I believe I can cut the hole off and reattach the hoses. Does anyone have experience with this problem? Is that a chronic problem? Should all of the hoses be replaced with better material? Any other comment?

The problem is adjacent to fittings which has a knurled body. The fittings are installed opposite directions in the two lines. They are marked power 3000-2. Does anyone know what function they serve?

Targaboat: Question- how are your slide working? If you are having slide prob, then this could be the culprit. It's possible these hoses could be part of you slide mechanism, possible hi-pressure. I think you best bet is to call HWH tech support and ask them about the hoses before trying anything yourself.

HWH has had some bad hydraulic lines and some bad fittings. They likely will provide replacements at no cost. I recommend you either call them direct, or go to your dealer and get them to work it.

I had this exact experience. There is a service bullitin on this. HWH will replace all the hoses. They will not replace hoses until they leak.

So... They do the right thing if you have a problem. But there is no preemptive program.
