FWI for those of you with the newer slide out locks. There is a drain on the slide near the top that drains the slide out lock assembly should water get in it from the top of the slide.

I had a water leak inside the coach this morning and found water dripping from the shaft of the slide out lock.

I sent an email to Winnebago and Bryan replied to me telling me of a possible drain tube clog. He was correct one of mine was clogged. I blew a little air into it and it proceeded to drain itself. Thanks Bryan.

I never new what the little gizmos were that are above my awning on the right slide and below the slide topper on my left slide. I will now make a point of it to make sure they are clear and able to drain.

Here is a picture of what the drain looks like and a picture of the slide lock rubber booty.

Jim

Jim,
As always this is useful information. I had a muggy odor and now I think I know the cause. However, now both my slide locks do not operate. Do you know the location of the fuses? I don't know were to begin to look.

Dennis, the slide out lock circuit breakers are in the exterior bay just forward of the left front wheel. I would check those first (2 push in breakers). If those are ok you might want to drop the plastic cover on the left slide lock first. It is located between the 2nd and 3rd upper storage bins aft of the refrigerator.

Sometimes the micro switches lock up (you can see one of the switches in the picture I posted). The picture I posted is the front slide lock on the right slide. I have found that sometimes the shaft gets to tight, I have been able to get mine to work by putting some duct tape (to prevent maring the shaft) on a small pair of channel lock pliers and gently try to move the shaft while someone operates the slide lock switch.

Jim

PS, the left slide has one lock and the right slide has 2 locks on the TD model
