on our Sightseer 33Cwe noticed slight shadowy spots on the ceiling right where the electric slide locks are located. Has anyone noticed similar spots and if so did you clean them off and with what. tom

We have similar problem with the wall where the locks hit when in the locked position. I believe this is due to vibration and movement while driving. A little soapy water or any spray cleaner will work. We also have a problem with the locks sticking when they have been unlocked for more than a few days. I have put some grease on the mechanisim but they still stick.

We have what looks almost like graphite spray on the ceiling above each slide lock. We use 409 to clean it off. I wish I new what was causing it and how to stop it from happening too. We have lived full time in our motorhome for 4 years now and it still is happening.

Regarding the slide locks, I have found that it is caused by the lock motor binding. You need to loosen 4 bolts to eliminate the binding and then re-tighten them. Then after you unlock the slide lock be sure to slightly "burp" the lock toward the lock direction. It doesn't take much. Then it will not bind again. Do this each time that you unlock the slide locks.

We have been "burping" the locks but if we get in a hurry and forget then they stick. Shouldn't have to put up with this kind of nuisance. If gas doesn't get too much higher we may stop at the factory this year to get some other work done and will have them checked.
