i have an itasca 39k meridian with three slides. they work fine and the rails appear to be made out of aluminum and have not been lubed in any way. i can't find any literature as to how to care for the slides, so i could use a little help on suggestions for the slides, like should they be lubed and any other maintenance performed on them.

pawpawboyce,
I called Winnebago about 2weeks ago on this very same issue. I was interested in lubricating the slides. On my 04 Journey, the slides ride against 4 white nylon bushings for each beam.
They recommended a dry silicone spray lubricant available at most hardware stores. They recommened against lithium grease or any other grease because they said it would attract dust and then become sticky.

I used the dry silicone lubricant on my slides and sprayed this directly on all the white nylon bushings. Works great.
hope this helps.

jim & debbie, 04 Journey 34H
