Slide problem

Slideout on my 2004 Sightseer 30B stopped just before fully retracting this weekend. Luckily, it wasn't a motor problem and I was able to retract in the semi-automatic mode. The error code said something like "loss of signal from rear servo". I now have a appointment in 2 weeks with my dealer, but would like to fix it myself and avoid the trip. Any ideas?

Just bumping this.... I do not have Kwikee slides, so I cannot advise you. Hopefully some other Sightseer owners can help out here.

I would guess that the problem is a bad encoder. These slides use a notched wheel (kind of like a star shape) that rotates with the motor shaft. its kind of hard to explain without writing a book but the encoder count the rotations of each shaft so that one does not get too far ahead of the other. Once in a while (we have replaced 2) the encoder goes bad and no longer reads rotation, which in turn sets a trouble code. Easy to replace, but should still be under warranty.
