Angry Slide won't go out

I have a 2010 Isasca Sunova and i'm having trouble with the bed room slide going out. I have to push on it to get out but will come in with no problems. This slide has a worm gear mecanisim not the gear one like the other 2 slides. I have installed all new batteries with no difference. Any thoughts?

Just curious if you have the engine running when you operate the slide.

This is posted up twice in this forum. Question to start with is your engine running when you operate the slide. Most slides need all the power from batteries they can get and require engines putting out the amps. Seems odd it comes in but wont go out.

I had a problem with it slowing down and stopping midway through extension. I found that the unit that was attached to the worm gear was catching on the thin plywood flooring beneath the bed. The flooring had bowed down just a bit because of the weight of the items that we store under the bed. I propped up the flooring and then lubed the worm gear, ran it in and out a few times and now it's back to normal.

Measure the voltage on the wires very close to the motor while someone is pushing the switch. Once you know the voltage is good you can move on to a mechanical issue.

Do you have to push on it to get it going under power, or do you have to manually push it all the way out?

With the slide out all the way in, check your sweeps (seals) all the way around , they can bind up or sag at the top and keep the slideout from going out correctly but not bind up when coming in.

Is the switch for that slide in the one place panel? If it is, pull the panel and check the wires on the back of the switch. I had a similar problem, my slide would go out but not come in. I found a loose connection on the switch.

I have the same but different MH, a 2010 Winnebago Sightseer 2010. In 2011 I started noticing once in a while that it would just stop part way going out, I would have to jog it in slightly and then "help" push it out when pushing the out button. Over time this got worse. I sprayed dry lube on the screw and powered the seals around the outside of the slide. It helped a little but degraded with time. I have been helping it go out every time for the past 2 years (holding the out button and pushing the bed outward. It has always gone in with no problem. Last fall it stopped going in a couple of times and I had to push it in while my wife held the in button. Its in storage now for the winter, however, I plan to fix it in the spring. The feedback so far is much appreciated, good things to look for. Thanks!

I have the same basic setup on my Newmar. Although I'm not having any problems with it right now, I'm interesting in watching this thread too.

I will say on mine, the cabinet beside the bed drags on the carpet going out, so to help things and keep from damaging the cabinet any further, I push out on the top of the cabinet when extending the slide to raise the bottom of the cabinet off the carpet. I'm thinking I need to adjust the angle of the slide box somehow, but haven't gotten into it yet. There has to be some adjustments somehow.
