Sliding pantry issue -2003 Journey

Hi - one of my large sliding pantry door/drawer has developed a quirk. Sometimes when we close it the door will stop about 2 inches away from completely closing. I can fiddle with it and then it will close so I'm pretty sure there is nothing behind it.

It feels like the lower track has something catching. Has anyone else ever seen this? Also has anyone ever taken the door off the tracks? It looks like you can press the tabs in the rails and it will come out like a file drawer in a desk. I just don't want to pull it out and it be a bear to get back in.

Thanks
Ben

I have taken ours out, and it's no problem getting them back in if you have an extra pair of hands. Found some long lost spices too!

Ben, do you know how to remove the pantry drawer? If not, most tracks have a small tab at the end of the sliding rail. It toggles up or down, depending on the side. Operate these and pull the drawer all the way out. Now you ca see what is going wrong.

Happy trails,
Rick Y

Thanks guys!! That's what I wanted to hear. I worried it would turn into one of those things that don't go back easy.

Pantry Problems

I had problems with my pantry as well. It is easily removed and replaced like everyone says. In my case I found the track itself to be bad. It took it to Home Depot and matched it exactly. They are standard drawer runners. They screw right in place of the old ones with no cutting or measuring. Hope you can get by with the ones you have.
