I have just come back from a 3 month road trip and 3 different weeks at the Winnebago Factory. The HWH jack problem is not acknowledged by Winnebago...their answer is 3 to 15 is normal for jacks to retract...I left Winnebago and went to HWD in Moscow, Iowa. They said BS..immediately went under my rig and my friends and replaced the springs with the newer heavier duty springs. The jacks immediately took no longer than 1:20 for all to come up. I did notice in colder weather though that sometimes they would slow up to 4 minutes. I also found out that if you fluid level is to low and you get air in the lines it takes longer for the jacks to try to compress air than fluid...meaning a longer seating time. So also check you fluid level to make sure it is full.

Thanks for the info.

I have now had 5 different HWH systems on my 5 different Motorhomes.

Only ever had a problem with one jack, and a simple call to HWH gave them the number from the jack, they overnighted it to the closest HWH repair facility, and I got it replaced within a matter of minutes.

Of all the various manufacturers I have had dealings with I must admit HWH has been without a doubt the most responsive. I was told by the repair facility here in Central Fl that the owner of HWH want happy campers, and an outstanding product. He has both as far as I am concerned.
