I have a small leak in the corner of the passenger side windshield of my 2000 Winnebago Chieftain. Just a couple of drops. I was wondering can the windshield seal be repaired or do the windshield have to be replaced to get a good seal?

Hello, if you do a search you will find many posts on windshield leaks that Winnebago's have.

Here is my post from earlier this year. Link Here

I am going to assume that your windshield is mounted similar to mine.

First check is the clearance lights.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

I had a small leak and found a clear windshield seal product at the local Napa parts store. Put that where I thought the leak originated and it did stop it.

On our 05 adventurer we were plagued by minor windshield leaks. Used marine sealer several times successfully on the outside of the windshield, with rubber removed, but kept getting new leaks. Found out that the windshield seal was weakened by rust on the frame and every time we closed a slide (Without opening a window) we had another leak. The pressure created on the windshields by closing the slide was all it would take. Finally had Duncan Systems replace both windshields. They sanded and primed the metal frame to stop the rust and installed new windshields. No more leaks and we open a window when closing the slides
