On some areas of the ceiling where seams are . Soiled steaks of black in color are appearing. The longest maybe about 6 inches long. Could be aluminum dust or dust getting in the seams. Anyone else have this problem. Cause & cure?

Dave, on my ceiling seams I have a vinel molding that is pushed into the seams between panels could it be they never put any in yours.
You maybe getting dust or dirt coming down between panels from roof area.
Dave.....I've got the same problem as you describe. I've seen it mentioned on this forum and other forums so I think it's pretty common. I haven't tried to clean them, I just live with them. To me, they are not too noticeable. There's some kind of glue seam there that causes the black streaks.
