Step cover access

My step cover is no longer operating. I think it may be a rodent issue, but I have no idea how to access it when it is stuck in the retracted position. Any help would be appreciated

Mostly guessing, but look for a strap or something to pull as a release.

Electric step is in, and will not come out?

Mine has a release, but that is for when it is stuck out. I seem to remember an access panel from underneath the coach, but can't crawl under to see if my memory is accurate.

It's possible that this thread may have some useful info: Step Well cover won't extend, fuse? Where?

Seems like half the responses relate to the outside steps, and I interpret the problems as the insude step-well cover. Don't have any idea how to access the drive motor, but would start with the easy stuff - the switch to see if there'e power to it and that the switch works. After that I'd call WBGO tech service (800.537-1885). They've been very helpful over the years.
