You may want to call Mor/ryde @ 866.990.7433. I called them about the step cover on my 2014 Tour 42QD and they were very helpful. Sounds like the same cover, mine is a SP56-117. Attached is the instruction manual. I hope this helps.

Ours has occasionally done this in our Forza.

The connection was under the entry step.

I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it resumed working.

Just a follow up. New motor- problem fixed. The procedure to change motor: remove rubber step cover, take four screws out of access door and remove access door, take out two nuts to free shaft, step will now pull out. Pull out disconnect power plug. There are two screws on top of motor that are now removed( find your smallest Phillips’s screwdriver) Motor now comes off, reverse directions and step Will hopefully work. Thank you to all that helped me
